It's an extremely exciting and exciting time of year: Christmas and New Year! Although Christmas is over, there is still plenty to get excited about with the New Year. Rumors of an impending war or economic disaster might be surrounding you but fear not, we've compiled a list of 37 websites and apps you should learn more about. This list includes some new mediums such as online self-teaching videos that teach you how to play guitar or how to speak French. Others are simply classics that never go out of style like learning how to play chess or code in Python. So, whatever your skill level may be, you'll be sure to find something new and exciting below. It's important to understand that there is no perfect learning resource out there (excluding YouTube), so don't rely on just one website or app. You should also use different sources that complement each other in order to get the most out of your studies. For example, freeCodeCamp teaches you how to learn computer programming using videos and articles. However, if you're unsure about what you're doing (maybe it's your first time coding) then Codecademy would be best suited because it will provide instructions with each lesson to walk you through it at a slow pace. Hopefully, you consider this (and go check out the sites and apps yourself) as you prepare for the new year. You may not be able to prevent the economic disaster or war but at least you'll be prepared for anything else! Once again, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and we hope to hear from you (in the comments) with your own suggestions of great online resources. UPDATE: Thanks to all of you that went out and checked out our recommendations, but if you're still having trouble finding the resources below then feel free to check out this article freeCodeCamp reviews. 1.
